When the whole menu is over your calories
Big plates are normal
Restaurant portions are built for appetite, not for the number left on your ring. Some nights every listed dish sits above what you have left. That does not mean the day is ruined.
Use the Backup, then the plate
Start with the scan. If the Top is still heavy, check the Backup — it is the closer fit, not a second favorite.
Then change the order, not the whole plan:
- Skip the default add-on (fries, extra rice, a second sauce)
- Ask for the protein and vegetables, and a smaller starch
- Share one dish, or box half before you start
- Drink water with the meal so the drink is not the calorie line
Log what you actually eat, not the menu photo. If you eat half, the ring should reflect half.
A target is a day, not a single plate
One meal over the line is a number. The next meal can be smaller. OptaFit keeps remaining, consumed, and target on the same screen so you can see that without opening a spreadsheet.
